GETTING STARTED WITH THE CAMPAIGN
It's easy to begin, just email any one of our growing list of representatives listed below, or why not become one yourself????. We have also listed the areas where they are located so that you can work with someone who is familiar with your part of the world or country!
We have representatives who are more than willing to meet you and welcome you and offer assistance with any questions you may have, or even just help writing a letter or looking for an address. Most of our representatives are long time Irish activists and are very aware of the political situation in Ireland. They all have contacts in the six counties and will be able to keep you updated on the peace process and the status of the GFA in Ireland and Britain.
Also as an added bonus of joining this campaign, you will be added to our email list. This enables you to receive reports from Northern Ireland as events take place and are reported by our members living there.
So, join us for peace and let's get this agreement back on track! We must not waste this BEST chance for peace in over 30 years! Don't forget, it took six long years to get to this point from the IRA's call for a cease-fire in order to fully support the peace process and to give politics a chance to work!
Let's ensure that politics CAN work, by demanding the British government NOT close the Assembly after only 8 weeks up and running, not when it should have been operating for much much longer! This is why the process has failed! Had the agreement been followed as it was meant to be followed, then, we'd have had months of government behind us by now and perhaps all the groups with weapons would be more willing to make gestures or to decommission voluntarily. Let's face it, it is not the guns that are the problem here, it's those who use them, make sense? So, in order to change the way those people feel, we must show them all through real politics and real government, longer that a token 8 weeks time, that politics CAN and will work in the North of Ireland!
